The Ancient Superfood with 2000 years of History

The Ancient Superfood with 2000 years of History

As a passionate entrepreneur and doctor, in my last email I spoke about the life-changing journey I took to Japan in 2006. My goal was to explore new ways of improving people's health and well-being using ancestral foods, which led me to an ancient superfood - known in Japan as Konnyaku or Shirataki which means white waterfall.

This mysterious food has been around for over two thousand years, invented by Buddhist monks! Even more remarkable is that there have been recipes describing its use going as far back as 1400 years ago in Japan and in China - where it's known as Moyu even further back!! In other words, this ancestral food with remarkable health benefits had been eaten for over 2000 years!

The more I learned about it, the more interested I became. It is almost inconceivable that this miraculous noodle hadn't been formally introduced in North America beyond Asian grocery stores and some tofu noodles that only partly had the root in it. So naturally, when I discovered this incredible food I wanted my patients at home to benefit from it too. That was my first focus.

That's when I called my sisters, mother and father and told them we would be starting a business when I get back from Japan! They were all on board! Little did we know what an incredible adventure we were about to embark on.

Stay tuned for even more tales of discovery and fun as I share more about my families mission to help make the world a healthier place - through the power of Miracle Noodle!
