Calorie Free "Rice?"
Yes! It's a Miracle. Now you know how we came up with the name!
Rice is the most popular staple in the world, with over 3 billion people worldwide consuming it on a daily basis. But in this country, rice may contribute to being overweight or obese.
Why? Just one cup of cooked rice contains 50 grams or more of carbohydrates. That's a lot of carbs! And if you eat two servings or more of rice, that's over 100 grams of carbohydrates. If you're not doing hours and hours of fieldwork, those carbs aren't going to burn off; they'll be stored as body fat!
Brown rice also has about 50 grams of carbs per serving! Though brown rice has more fiber and a slightly better nutritional profile than white rice, for anybody who wants to limit starchy carbs, it's best to limit brown rice as well.
We wanted to offer a rice alternative for people who want to limit starches in their diet. That's why we came up with Miracle Rice, which is also perfect for people on soy-free, wheat-free and gluten-free diets. It's made from the same vegetable fiber flour that Miracle Noodles are made out of.
Miracle Rice has a similar texture as regular rice, without the carbs.
